My car shakes when you brake. I just recently put new brakes on myself. Rotars were fine and still have no ruts in them.

My suggestion would be to take the rotors off and have them resurfaced, if possible, or replace them. It is difficult to judge the condition of the braking surface with just your eyes and there may also be some warpage.......(start with the easiest and cheapest solution first ;)
