2002 Ford Explorer Accessory plugs will not work

To better assist you I need to know if you just have an Explorer, or the Sport, or the Sport Trac. Also I need to know the engine size in liter and the 8th digit of your VIN.

I have the Explorer XLT, 4.0 SOHC.
VIN# 1FMZU73K12ZC71001

Mike Great job on the info Please do me a favor and look on the driver's door for the attached label and tell me what the date that the red arrow is pointing to The information is asking if it is a late or early model.

The date is 06/02.
I pulled every fuse under the dash and under the hood again to double check and they are all good.

Thanks for the info ..you have a Late Production build. You might keep that in the back of your mind for future things.

I know you checked the fuses. The two fuses that control the power points are fuse 7 and 9. I recommend checking them with an ohm meter since sometimes by eye is not totally accurate.

If the fuses are good, then check for 12 volts at the plug ends if you have it at the plug ends then the power point sockets need replacing.

Please contact the dealer service department, give them the VIN number of your car and have them check on these to see if they apply to you.

Yes it was #7. I replaced # 9 also, just to be safe.
