2001 Ford Explorer When to service Transmission

I have been told that you should not drop the Transmission pan to service the transmission on a vehicle with over a 100,000 miles on it. Is there anything to that statment?

That's crazy talk. Ford recomends fluid and filter change. Check your owners manual it will show service intervals.
