The horn on my 2000 Explorer started going off by itself and it will stay beeping for a long time. It would stop after hitting the steering wheel a few times.
Smoke started coming off the steering wheel.
The mechanic told me I had to replace the horn switch and he connected a button for the horn to operate by itself. Now the cruise control would not work nor the horn through the steering wheel.
If I replace the horn switch, would that make the cruise control and horn to work again? He said they all work together off the same switch.
Any comments?
