99 EXPLORER 5.0 Recently installed new plugs, wires fuel filter, air filter, coil pack, oil filter,and anti freeze. Idle started going up to 1500 to 2000 rpm and running rough. when I hit passing gear on highway I get a real strong smell which I believe is from the cat converter. I pulled the new plugs and they were all soaked with gas. Since I was told this suv dosent have a fuel pressure regulator I am thinking it could be the fuel pump pumping to much gas. Any suggestions would be appreciated. It starts fine and dosent stall, just a rough idle and wet plugs. I am stumped.
