1999 Ford Explorer Directionals not working / cant locate f

The fuse for the directionals in my 99 Explorer keeps on blowing. I was told to check the flasher relay. Supposively this is located under the steering column, however, I can't find it anywhere.

Does anyone know where it is? I want to determine if this needs to be replaced before trying the multifuncional switch (which costs more money).

Any insight is greatly appreciated - I'm a rookie when it comes to this stuff!

Hi Kav,

Thank you for the donation.

The flasher relay is oncorporated into the hazard switch and is located on top of steering column.

To get at it, you would need to remove the steering cover after removal of the steering lock.

The turn signals and hazard lights runs on separate fuses, are both fuses blowing off?

Have you checked and confirm if it is other items that are causing the fuses to blow?
