how do I get the torque converter on far enough? it goes through the first 2 clicks fine, but not the third

Do you have any cap between the converter and the bell housing you should nt have any .
all I had to do is turn the converter and light push until in
if not pull it out make sure its all lined up and try again
converter goes by it self only no rods or so .
