1997 Ford Explorer 6 cyl Automatic
I have a 97 Ford Explorer with a four liter motor the eight digit number on the vin is the letter E. Would a motor from a 98 Ford Explorer with the eight digit number with the letter X fit as a replacment motor, and also computer compatability for the 97 Ford Explorer? Is there anything else that I have to worry about? I am taking everything from the 98 Ford Explorer and putting it into the 97 Explorer this includes AC mounting, alternater brackets, belt tensioner, ect
