1997 Ford Explorer 4 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I try to find my engine number but cant find it,where is the engine number left side or right side and must find from up or down side?

Are you refering to a serial number or the engine size? Also, are you sure it is a 4 cylender? I believe they only came with a V6 or V8.
