1997 Ford Explorer engine shakes

when i come to a stop my engine starts shaking. does not shake when i drive but a smell like rotten egg is starting to smell.could it be the sensor that goes into the manifold?

rotten eggs is usually a sign that the catalytic convertor is failing. it could be pluggign up the exhaust causing that to happen or more likely there is raw gas getting in the convertor and burning it up.

check your spark plugs, is one or a few clean and the rest dirty? what do you find?
