what type of transmission fluid do i need? guy at store gave me DM, but i think i need ATF. I dont have manual.

Your truck will take either ATF (also known as Dexron III/Mercon) or Mercon V which is for Ford electronic overdrive trannys. Every Ford vehicle I have seen that takes the Mercon V, which is a synthetic fluid, has it CLEARLY marked on the end of the dipstick.....
