1995 Ford Explorer loss of gas pedal

Hello,
I don't know how else to describe my problem except to say that I have a loss of pedal. I have to mash it half way to the floor just to give it a little gas. Is there a way to adjust my gas pedal to where I have a 'full pedal'?

is the throttle cable taunt on the throttle body butteryfly valve?

when you step on the gas pedal does it change the position of the throttle body?
