1995 Ford Explorer How To Open Hood

Have a friend pull up on the hood while you hold the handle out. It should pop open. Sometimes the plastic handle breaks and the cable is still good. If that's the case you can grab the end with a pair of pliers or vise grips and open the hood. If that doesn't work you will have to get a flashlight and a medium length screwdriver and try to trip the release by going through the openings in the grille and forcing the latch open.
