Hi all, I have a 95 Ford Explorer Limited V6 4.0 L 4 Door, with 4 wheel drive.
I got this used and about a month ago, I could hear the fuel pump start every time I turned the truck on and after I shut it off.. It was very noisy and you could hear it plain as day...
I drove it yesterday and all was good but then it started to sputter and then it died on me.. I pulled it off to the side of the road, wait for a bout 3 mins and started it again... all was ok and I drove it 3 miles to my house.
I drove it the next day, about 3 or 4 miles and it seemed that after I gave it some gas to go up a hill,... it shifted down and all that,.. but after that, it start to sputter again,.. and it died.. this time,.. when I tried to start it,... it would just sputter,... now it will just crank over and thats it...
I was going to replace the pump, but want to make sure that its the problem before I drop the tank and all that fund stuff...
What do you all think?
