1994 Ford Explorer Oil pump or oil pressure sensor gone bad

1994 Ford Explorer 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I want to know, how do u know the oil pump gone bad or the oil pressure sensor gone bad? How do u test its make sure which one is the bad one?

Use a mechanical gauge remove the oil pressure switch screw on and crank engine over if normal replace the switch if abnormal could be the oil pump or the engine bearings
