1994 Ford Explorer Cooling System

My 1994 Ford Explorer Sport, 6cyl.,4.0L Pushrod, had oil build up in the radiator. But not in the oil pan. I flushed out the radiator and cleaned out most of the oil. However, now I notice that I have coolent leaking out of the tail pipe.Everyday I have to add some more coolent. I can not drive it for more than 45 to 1 hour before it show its overheating. What do you suggest its causing the problem?

Do you see white smoke comming out of the exhuast? If yes, have a block test done, this will detect hydrocarbons from the exhust, in your antifreeze, another test is to use a radiator pressure tester to see how fast pressure builds in the radiator, both these tests will decide if you have a blown head gasket, or cracked head...

I did notice white smoke when the truck was over heating. I normally do all my own mechanice work on my truck. How difficult is it to do a block test? And what kind of tools are needed to do it? Thank you.

It's a chemical kit you buy at a parts store, just follow the directions...
