WHAT SHOULD A REPAIR LIKE THIS COST? CAN LOWER BALL JOINTS BE REPLACED ON TOP AND THE BOTTOM NOT NEED TO ??? ONE MECHANIC TOLD ME i HAVE TO HAVE THEM DONE AROUND THE WHOLE TRUCK????

It is not necessary to replace all of the ball joints at once unless they are all worn out. Under normal circumstances, the ball joints are under different stresses, and will wear at different rates. Therefore, it is only necessary to replace the bad one(s).

Price is another issue. I do not quote prices on the forum. This is because there are too many variations in parts costs and labor rates in different geographical locations because of local economic conditions. Also, one mechanic cannot quote a rate for another. That is up to the individual shop and mechanic.
