my ford explore is on the saide of the road as of right now.when i drive it it sometimes stalls and wont crank bake up other times it will. if i swtich the kay off and on sometime it will run or idle till i hit the gas. would it be the fuel pump or mass air flow

If I had to guess, I would say the fuel pump. However, without checking things, I can't be sure. Has the check engine light come on?
