1992 Ford Explorer Fluid in Radiator

I have a Brown fluis in my coolant. There is no oil loss no foam on oil cap. Transmission slips a little. Is this Trans fluid in my radiator, I have no foam on my transmission fluid stick either.

Trans fluid was low ,put fix leak in trans and havent had shifting problem since. Just worried about the brown oilly residue in radiator.

The reason I asked about the trans is because the cooler is built into the radiator. I have seen them go bad and cause ATF to mix with the coolant.

As far as it being brown, if it appears there are no leaks, I would recommend having the system flushed. It could be that the coolant is that dirty or a prior owner put a stop leak in it.
