truck will not shift into 4 wheel drive

diid show a drian on the volt meter but did not shift in not shows no drain and no shift

electric motor turns transfer case in/out of 4wd...replace,or if mechanically inclined,it is possible to remove motor and clean contacts/brushes inside...thanx ford for design flaws
