I have a 1999 ford expedition that has performed well for about 4 years and for the first time about 2 weeks ago it just suddenly won't start.
n/b:Engine rolls when you turn key in ignition,
I already confirmed battery is good,
I already changed fuel filter and fuel pump relay.
My mechanic wants to open up the engine, should I let him?
Please help! :(

It all depends on the reason why.

If this just happened out of the blue, then there is probably good reason to take a good look at the engine, though you might not want to open up the engine quite yet. Every engine only needs three things to run. Fuel delivered at the right time, spark delivered at the right time and compression in the cylinders. If an engine "mostly" has these three things, it'll at least turn over giving you an oportunity to go from there. While emission components strongly affect your engine, check for the basics first (as well as anything obvious, like the check engine light being on). If everything seems to be in order, diagnose farther.
