Item # 6 is the PCV hose. The valve is plugged into the valve cover.

PCV hose is item # 716, (dirty air ) and # item # 700, (fresh air).

Is the valve located under the plastic cover or on the driver's side of the cover, just below? I asked the person at an automotive store but they were unsure of it's location. A picture would be helpful.

The PCV valve is located in the upper portion of the valve cover. Here is a diagram of the 4.6L or 5.4L engines below.

I was told by the service tech at the Ford dealership we take our vehicle to that the PCV tube is collapsed. Can you tell me where it is and how to replace it? A diagram or photo would be helpful. Thanks!

My software doesnt have a pic of it.Follow the PCV line from the valve cover to where it attachs to the intake manifold (at back of throttle body usually), this is where it is collapsed, happens to all of them

I noticed the engines idle was off and rough. I could hear a vacuum leak in the engine compartment. I found a rubber vacuum hose which had been worn and deteriorated located in the rear, right rear of the engine. It is a Y shaped or T shaped hose (cant remember, sorry). It is not a PCV Valve I believe. It is difficult to get to as it is in a very tight location. I want to replace the problem however I do not know what to call it or how to identify it. I welcome your thoughts. Thank you

If it is a vacuum hose, just replace the part that is bad. Chances are the part is good that it is attached to.
Let me know. Also, if you could get a picture of it and upload it for me to see, it would help. Let me know what size V8 it is.
