The airflow changes from the dash vents to defrost or floor on its own. When you first start the vehicle it will flow from the dash vents. As soon as you begin to drive the airflow goes away from the dash vents.
Also I've seen alot of folks having the rear AC accuator problem on the forums. I have had to replace mine every year since the vehicle was new but one. I bought the vehicle new in 02'. This last time it was no longer under warranty and it cost me $400.00 at the dealership, which I won't do again. My question here is, it looks like Ford is using extremely crappy accuators if they have to be replaced that often and if so many folks are having problems with the same parts. Is there any recourse for all of us Expedition owners with this obvious shoddy part problem?
