2001 Ford Expedition PCV Valve makes lots of noise

My car is shaking when I step on the gas and seems to hesitate. Problem would come and go for a while but now its constant and the check engine lite came on now. I was looking under the hood for a vac leak and could hear and feel the PCV Valve shaking. Could this be the problem???

Remove the PCV and shake it. If you hear a rattle, it is good. Make sure it isn't cracked and check the vacuum hoses and replace if needed. If there is a leak, it will cause the problems.
