2000 Ford Expedition Clunking when braking/first taking off

My Expedition has started making this "clunking" sound and you can FEEL it in the rear of the truck when you are braking or first taking off....after the truck has "warmed up" if you will. Little "local trips", it doesn't make the sound. If you go "long distance" i.e. on the freeway and then exit the freeway/highway to go to your location, you will get the clunking.
This clunking feels like (at first) the brakes are sticking. But because this only happens after the truck is "warmed up"...I am wondering what else it could be. It doesn't even happen "everytime" at every stop either.

Some vehicles equipped with a 4R70W automatic transmission may exhibit a "clunk" noise during the 2-1 downshift event. The "clunk" noise will be consistent in nature, and will occur during most 2-1 downshifts. This may be caused by a Planet Support Spring that is out of position.
Check for the correct installation of the Planet Support Spring. If the spring is not installed correctly, the Planetary Gear Support will make contact with the transmission case during the 2-1 downshift, causing the "clunk" noise. Refer to the following Service Procedure for details.

1.Use Chassis Ears (Rotunda number 107-R2102 or equivalent) to verify the "clunk" noise is originating from the transmission during the 2-1 downshift event.
