My Expedition is making a terrible clunking noise from the left front tire when I drive, more noticeable when driving slow, and my steering wheel shakes badly. I had it aligned just days ago from a tire place and all they said they noticed was a worn tie rod. Does this sound like it could be the problem to you? The tire wobbles so badly I feel like it is ready to fall off, but all lug nuts are secure.

Hello, I'm not a mechanic by any means. But, I had a similar problem. I have a 1997 Expedition 4x4. When you raise the vehicle up, can you still move the tire back and forth, even when the lug nuts are tight? This was the problem I had, and it was the wheel bearings. Got wheel bearings replaced, now is fine. I had a mechanic do it for me. Hope this could of been any help to you. Good luck.

If it has a worn tie rod end, whoever aligned it should never have done it. You don't align a front end with worn tie rod ends.
