1999 Ford Expedition 4 wheel drive will not disengage

Just today, my daughter turned the 4wd into 4 low by mistake. Now my car will not disengage. The switch has never had a problem before. In the winter time i often go into 4 hi and return to all wheel drive with no problem. What do you suggest?

I have a 99 Expedition too and this happened to me once. But, you'll be glad to know it is an EASY fix. I don't recall the exact procedure, but it is in your owner's manual. As I recall it's something like: You have to be stopped with the engine running, emergency brake on, transmission in Neutral and then turn the switch and it'll come out . . . off the top of my head that's what I recall, BUT look in your owner's manual the procedure is there.
