1998 Ford Expedition Motor Rev's to 3000 RPM's in park

I have a 1998 Ford Expedition that when put in park motor rev's up to 3000 RPM's. Runs normal while in drive, but as soon as you shift to park it runs up. Is it the IAC?

Hi:
It could be the IAC or the TPS. However, without having the computer scanned for codes, it would be a guess. Take it to a nationally recognized parts store and have them scan the computer for codes. Most stores will do it for free.
