What's an easy and good way to check the MAF sensor on a Ford Expedition 5.4L? It has thrown a code about reading too lean, I dont remember the code number, but it was reading too lean on Bank 1. I did a little research and found that the most common cause is a bad/dirty MAF sensor. I just cleaned it, but it is still idling higher than it used to, but no check engine light after I had it erased.

If it isn't setting the same code, I think you fixed that problem. I have to say this, the MAF will not only affect one bank of the engine. It will have an effect on both. How high is it ideling at this point?

1K isn't too bad, but above that is getting high. To provide the testing info, I need to know the exact engine size, 4.6 or 5.4L and the original code PO102 or PO103.

I looked it up for you but you need specialized equipment to check it. It is about 4 pages long of tests.
