A local repair shop gave me an estimate of $3100.00 to replace both head gaskets, both of which are leaking. Is this a fair price for zip code 63044? How might I get an online estimate for this job?

R & R both heads 18 hours labor @ shop labor charge (around $70 p/h) you could also add around $250 to have the heads machine cleaned & skimmed if this is deamed necassary ?

OEM dealer part gaskets $127 each ..you may get these cheaper at an autoparts store
