2 weeks ago I noticed a funny smell from my truck, then was told I was leaking antifreeze. The repair method at the time was to add some stop leak and refill with antifreeze. Since then the leak comes and goes. Today I added more stop leak when I noticed the container was empty and more antifreeze and I was fine all day no leaks. 5 hours later I tested it on the highway there was no noticeable leaks but container was empty and some smoke came from under the hood. How serious of a problem is this and how soon should it be taken care of professionally?

First, you need to determine where the leak is coming from. Where did you see the steam coming from (a general area). Next, no more stop leak or you'll end up with other problems.

Let me know.
