2003 Ford Excursion 60K miles

i have a 2003 excursion v10 that is making a very loud buzzing/whiring noise whe the gas is pressed. it gets louder the more rpms. sounds like its coming from the drivers side. any ideas?

If the vehicle is in neutral and you rev the engine, do you hear the noise? Does it happen all the time or just as the engine warms up?
