Vibration in rear end of 98 Escort

I have a 1998 ford escort sport with a manual transmition that has 150,000 miles on it. There is a vibration/loud noise coming from the rear end of the vehicle. It sounds almost like something rubbing but I can't seem to find evidence of anything rubbing. It gets louder as the speed increases and stops when I make a right hand turn. I can't seem to figure it out.

is your tire rubbing on the inner fenderwell? from maybe a bent wheel. and when you turn your shifting the weight of the car and it quites. 8) NOS

But the sound is coming from the rear and there are no signs of rubbing. I just had my tires rotated and had them check the suspention and for signs of rubbing and they found none. They told me that is may be an exhaust system problem of some sort. also if I have a heavy load in the back seat of trunk the sound is louder.

has anyone checked out your exhaust system to see if a pipe is rubbing on the body somewhere. that is also possible and i can make one heck of a racket.

one other thought i had is it could possible be a bad wheel bearing and the more load you put on it the more noise it makes.

What exactly is it doing is not charging or is it overcharging i need to know because newer cars the voltage regulator is in the alternator
