I have a 1998 ford escort. When I was driving it I was smelling something burning. I opened the hood and found the dip stick up and oil every where. I checked the oil and it was low and I added a qt. the next day I took the car in for an oil change and the dip stick was up again and oil was everywhere. what is causing the dip stick to pop up?
