Lost of power when accelerating
I have escort 1996 1600 SI. When accelerating I have a loss of power the engine then picks up and every thing is fine, change gear and accelerate again, again a loss of power then it picks up again. This mainly happens when cold and still a little when warmed up. I’ve have the car serviced, new leads etc. and still have the problem.
The garage checked the car over with the computer and said that the tap’its were sticking so I had the engine flushed new oil / filter etc. and still have the problem
Any clues?
