Hi Bob and Ken;
I have a 1990 Ford Escort, 1.9 L engine with 60000 miles. The problem is the engine died, had it repaired with a new distributor (complete). The car ran fine for about 1000 miles and died again. Check igniton system and found the ignition module bad. Replaced the ignition module and it started right up and ran for ten minutes and died again. In checking the ignition system again found the ignition module blown again. The ignition module that was replaced was a motorcraft part. What would be blowing the ignition module? The car ran perfectly until it died. Lost. Please help.
