Hi there, i posted this subject a while back and still havent managed to rectify the problems i am having , so if any you could help it would be greatly appreciated.
The car will start (after 10 mins battery charging off a slave due to lack of use, the battery has gone flat) whilst the engine is cold its sounds very weak and as if it is about to cut out, which it does after giving it revs, i presume this is once the automatic choke is no longer in action, I have been told this is the idle speed control valve and that this is a common fault, if i replace this part , is it the likely solution? thanks guys

look in to possible problems with the fuel system. id like to know the results before you buy a part you may not need. start with the filter, after that do a fuel pressure test. if every thing in the fuel system checks out ok then look into the valve being the problem.
