My escort for the past week has started making a loud metal on metal sounding groaning noise on occasion. It sounds similar to the sound Chewbaca makes from Star Wars. it only happens occasionally once i accelerate after braking at a light or stop sign. Once I pick up speed it goes away. It recently made this noise while turning to the right on low speeds also. Most times it's fine. Have any ideas what this could be? Sounds like noise is coming from the passenger side, not sure if front or rear.
The other problem i have with this car is that when it is idle it shakes and is loud, while driving there is no shaking. While I am idle and if i turn on the AC or heater the shaking and noise gets worse. No engine check light on or anything. What coudl this be?
