Thank you justanold for your quick response. I checked and changed every fuse in the panel, still no good. The brake lights do come on so the brake switch at least half works. What do you recommnd now?

That seems to have done the trick, it works now without hitting the button. fuse had blown. Thanks for all the help justanold, if i had points to give you i would!
