I have a 93 escort wagon with manual trans 220k miles 1.9L fuel injection
the car seems to be flooding during throttle advancement it idles great but to acelerate it hesitates and misfires. to drive down the street I have to push the throttle very slow to find the sweet spot and then the car acelerates if i push past that spot it misfires but back off the throttle it runs fine the car will get to speed but by only pushing the throttle slightly then at speed the misfire is gone but the throttle is only advanced about 1/4 of the max throttle this is in all gears the throttle position senser, plugs, wires, fuel filter are all new the MAS, MAP, injectors, o2 senser are all ok.. I do not know the fuel pressures but I suspect the fuel pressure regulator is at fault but any help would be great
