I have a 2001 ford escort which for the past month has had a rough idle and now stalls when only in gear. I have changed the timing belt, spark plugs, throttle sensor and cam shaft sensor. However, this has not corrected anything. i have taken it to auto stores for a diagnostic and they keep saying it has a fault code for a bad camshaft sensor, which confuses me since it has been replaced twice. I have seen other posts of disconnecting a harneshfrom the a/c compressor to correct, but ii really don't think that is the best solution. Any other suggestions would be helpful.
