My 99 4dr Escort was recently broken into and the thief stole my stereo which was attached to the in dash aftermarket kit that also houses all the heating and cooling climate controls plus defrosters.
I have already replaced the switches for each of the controls and the knobs plus reinstalled the dash kit however I am missing according to the mechanic 3 vital pieces to make the ac controls work as follows:
The rear defroster harness
The vacuum tube line for the climate controls
Cable line for the climate controls
I called Ford and they told me one of the parts was $1200 lol so I am planning to go out to a salvage yard to obtain the parts there however it is a self service job and I do not know exactly what I am looking for. Could anyone help me with a little instruction on what tools I would need to take those parts off a salvaged vehicle and what the parts look like. any links to web pages so I could view them would be greatly appreciated.
