1999 Ford Escort speed sensor

I need info regarding replacing the speed sensor. The speedometer and odometer are not working and I was told that there is no cable, only a sensor on top of the transmission. Is this a repair that I can do myself?

Ok, I believe what you are needing is the Turbine Speed Sensor. Is the Sub Model a [color=BLUE:bc08761aed]ZX2[/color:bc08761aed] if so the Ford Number is [color=red:bc08761aed][b:bc08761aed] F7CZ 17271 AA[/color:bc08761aed][/b:bc08761aed] you can call your local parts store give them that part # and they can crossreference it to there number. You should be able to change yourself.
