My ford escort is running perfectly fine.

Except for every so often, a tube at the front left side, which seems to be connected to the engine is releasing spurts of air. In which it makes a noise sort of like a trumpet. And with each spurt it release a bit of smoke, not alot, almost as if it were smoking a cigarette. slightly moist.
It doesnt happen often, but when it does its annoying. The performance of the car doesnt change when it happens either.

Most importantly, when it does happen. it will only start when the car is stopped and idling or parked. When accelerating there is no noise.

I have a feeling its just the air compressor or the engine releasing extra exhaust. I have a feeling it only happens when the engine is hot.

Is there any way you could upload a picture for me to see where it is coming from? Also, have you checked to make sure the PCV isn't plugged?
