1999 Ford Escort air conditioning not working

the ac on my 1999 ford escort was working intermittently then started blowing hot air yesterday. the compressor does not kick on at all. I checked the fuse under the dash and it was fine. I took off the low side service cap to add freon and some green was bubbling out. I attached a recharge kit and depressed the can and the freon just went all over, not into the low side service at all. I bought a new can today with a guage. As soon as I attached it, the gauge pegged to over 100 psi. I tried to let some of the freon out by depressing the pin in the low side service, but the gauge still pegged at 100 psi.
I read about a faulty pin on the CCRM and may try removing the air filter to get to it, but that doesnt explain why the pressure is so high in the system.
Any suggestions??

Take readings with the engine running and the A/C turned on to Max A/C, then locate the low pressure cutout switch, normally located on the receiver dryer. remove the plug, and jump the terminals together, if the compressor runs take readings of high and low side, post the figures along with your temperature and humidity levels. DOI NOT drive with the switch jumped, it's only a test, if the system is low on freon, you will burn out the compressor.

If ambiant temp. is near 90 the 100 psi on low side at rest is correct. Check for power at low pressure switch on accumulator if good check for power at Comp term. Red wire.

I already jumpered the low pressure switch, it clicked but the compressor did not kick on.

Comp = compresser need to see if voltage is getting to clutch

okay, so I should use a voltage meter on the red wire to check for power? If no power, then what? and if power, then why is it not working? Could it be a faulty pin on the CCRM?

If power the clutch coil is faulty if no power need to test atCCRM
