1998 Ford Escort Transmission wouldn't go in reverse

Usually a sign that the tranny is about to completely fail. Worn or damaged internal clutch or transmission valve body issues may be the case which requires a rebuild of the tranny. I suggest having a transmission shop look at it before choosing to do anything to it.
