Sometimes when I shift gears the idle goes to 2500rpm. Sometimes I am in neutral and the idle increases. To stop it I have to shut the engine off at a red light. it goes a few miles, then the idle, while shifting increases again. I drove about 100 miles, no problem - after about 90 minutes took off again and the idle issue came back, for the return trip. What is causing the fast idle? It was checked for electrical and nothing showed up.
