Cruise control on my '98 Ford Escort ZX2 does not work at all. I ohmed out the switches on the steering wheel, the brake and the clutch. I checked the fuses and everything looks good.
What else do I need to check.
How would I check the speed sensor at the back of the transmission.
Is there any way to supply a voltage to the srevo to confirm it's operation?

Hi dugz44,

If the speedometer is working, the speed sensor should be ok.

Does the indicator lights up showing the cruise control is activated?

Did you check the control unit for power supply?

Did you check the clutch and brake pedal clearance with the switches?

Did you check the vacumn at diaphragm pump ?
