1998 Ford Escort check coolant light

Check coolant light comes on every morning when car is first started and sometimes throughout the day. What could cause this as I have checked the fluid level which is good.

If the coolant reservor (beside the passenger side fender) is full . Unhook the electrical wire connection on the coolant reservoir. Does the check coolant light still turns on when you start it. If it does not light on, then you need a new low coolant warning sensor attached to your coolant reservoir.
