i replaced the strainer and fuel pump on my car i tested the new pump before i put it on . the car still will not sart and is not getting fuel? whats next?

Is the fuel pump coming on when key at run position? If not start checking the inertia switch, fuel pump relay and fuse. If you can hear the pump check the fuel pressure to include injection pulses.
